The present ages of Ram and Shyam are in the ratio 6:7. If Shyam is 4 years older than Ram, after 4 years what will be the ratio of their ages?

(A) 5:8
(B) 4:8
(C) 7:8
(D) 8:7

Answer: (C)

Explanation:

Let present age of Ram = 6x years

present age of Shyam = 7x years

Then 7x – 6x = 4

ð   x = 4

After 4 years required ratio will be (6x+4): (7x+4)

=> 28:32 => 7:8
